hi! awsome app thank you!! 🙏

I'd appreciate having a way to adjust the way the text is displayed (font size, line height etc). currently it's too small and dense for me.
currently

I'd like to suggest few things and I'll be very happy to hear what you think :)
I've whipped up few mock-ups to emphasise better what I had in mind (it's a penpot file I can share with you if you like):

  1. I'd adjust the colours to correspond more with the Gnome colour palette. I love Gnome's punchy colours and I think we can celebrate them in our UI design
    colours

  2. I'd lose the bottom styling menu in favour of a little pops up above text when it's highlighted (similar to how it is on a smartphone). I think it align with the Gnome design philosophy and moves the action buttons nearer to where the mouse is, reducing the distance between the highlighted text and the action button
    text styling

  3. if you prefer an even simpler interface, I've made another version, more similar to your original design which I pretty like tbf:
    preferences

  • I've placed the buttons inside the menu as you did. the options are divided; on the right I've placed options regarding the current note (deletion, copy/duplicate a note, export note into other formats for sharing). on the left side, the app's functions: I've exchanged the 'view all notes' text button for a grid icon button and added the app settings button, where you'd be able to manipulate the way the text looks (as I suggested above).

anyways, thanks again for a great app! I'm looking forward to your response :)

Sticky Notes uses your system settings. Not sure if a different font option is necessary, but I can add it if it is.

This would be appreciated. Please contribute (via PR, or just by pointing me to the colors).

Nice suggestion. Would be nice if GTK integrates this directly.

I don't like this approach where everything is an icon instead of a label, this is probably the GNOME HIG too.

Alternative fonts would be appreciated. I really like using a handwritten font for notes but don't want to change my whole system to that.

Im looking towards a way to use the "Document Font" which you can then override in GNOME Tweaks
