Which CODECS does ISO/IEC 14496-2 define?

HLS.js depends on Browser support for codecs as described by format identifiers in the ISO Base Media File Format Name Space defined by "The 'Codecs' and 'Profiles' Parameters for "Bucket" Media Types" in RFC6381.

So it's not really up to HLS.js to support a codec, it is up to the Browser and Platform that HSL.js runs on. The only concern of HLS.js is selecting from the HLS Variants and Renditions that are supported.
