Please summarize your feature request

Support caching of .build directories

Describe the functionality you're seeking in more detail

To speed up next runs.
Perhaps it should avoid using the cache if the CI is in a re-run.

This will help a lot for bigger / slower workflows. It should still be a net positive for small runs (30s-1mins time save).
