Compiling Unicon without POSIX

I have been trying to build Unicon on Android but without success. It's somehow implied that Unicon can be built without POSIX. Failing to build without POSIX led me to write stubs as only parts of Unicon need it. However, unfortunately, this has been a never ending process. Constantly have to add more stubs as I progress compiling. Is building Unicon without POSIX even possible? How so?
