navigation items translation does not work when using the awesome-nav plugin

Using the awesome-nav plugin, folders as navigation items are not translatable.

Example of a .nav.yml file, to reproduce the issue :

nav:
  - index.md
  - introduction.md
  - gameplay
  - faq.md

The gameplay item can not be translated.
The other items in the navigation take the value of the heading title of the adequate localized page (as expected).

Any idea to solve this issue ?
