[BUG] shell user input

Describe the bug
tried to provide user input before running script but script runs without prompting me for user input

echo "Please enter a value: "
read userInput
echo "You entered: $userInput"

Software Version
macos 14.5
Obsidian 1.6.7
latest plugin version

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
Enter script:

echo "Please enter a value: "
read userInput
echo "You entered: $userInput"

Run script.

Expected behavior

I get some sort of prompt to provide my input.
