Is there any way we can make static file compression work with i18n?
Currently running an ASP .Net page without any problems. Migrating parts of it to an Angular2 CLI project though. Turning on static file compression is important to reduce the download time for the js bundle.

Possibly, I don't know TBH. We've looked into the possibility before and the conclusions are documented here:

Since then I haven't had (and still don't have) time to revisit, buit any ideas welcome.
