Custom tooltip/OnMouseOver ineffective in system tray popup window (Show when relevant) #16
Comments
wheel up and down are correctly recognized in my system, on mouse over instead does not work but I think I can fix or at least workaround this thanks for the report! |
It surely doesn't work here when the widget is not displayed in system tray, but only in system tray popup window. |
Wheel up and down scripts now work in my Debian Testing system, too. |
I think now perhaps plasmoids are expected to behave this way (at least when they are in passive state) on MouseOver: A popup notification is displayed with the "Name" entry in "metadata.desktop" file as title, and "Comment" as text... |
sadly yes, I'm not aware of any way to change it except for actually modifying the desktop file. It would be cool to implement a way to add custom .desktop files with custom name and comment, all pointing to the same scriptinator installation, all automatically handled by the configuration GUI (so no need to modify the .desktop file manually). I don't know when I'll have time to do this, but It would be useful for sure EDIT: perhaps with Plasma 6 things will change, who knows |
I've just noticed this, although it's not a big problem.
I don't know if this is a result of how KDE Plasma panel/system tray behaves, of if this can be fixed in the plasmoid code.
