It's possible to enable quiet mode on the phone, then no alarm sound will be heard. User should be acknowledged about it somehow in the UI

I don't know. I think the most operating systems showing a warn icon anyway.
There are several methods to silent your phone like "do not disturb" features, lower volume, silent audio profiles etc.
I'm not an app developer, but it could possibly be a struggle to check for all of this different methods to just show another warning inside of the app...

Probably it could be a way to show a static message for this case, like this:
