Mailto links open blank message with all fields blank

Describe the bug
Clicking a mailto link results in a blank new email without any fields filled in.

Steps to reproduce the behavior

1. Set Gmail Desktop > Preferences > Default Mail Client
2. Click on mailto:[email protected]&subject=Hello
3. A blank email opens no fields filled in

Expected behavior
Blank email should have fields filled in. See https://yoast.com/developer-blog/guide-mailto-links/
