write_sas() deprecation timeline

I was just wondering when write_sas() would be fully removed from this package or if it staying around forever?

There's no set timeline currently, it will probably still hang around at the warning level for a little while (there's no rush towards hard deprecation).

We love this package in pharma!! Thanks again for maintaining it. Unfortunately, when we write sas7bdat out the data can not be read back into SAS - proprietary data format :(. Experienced R programmer know to see the warning message from write_sas() and change tact, but we are finding new R programmers are picking this up and thinking it works and causing downstream issues.

If any chance to accelerate into deprecation error land we would definitely appreciate in the pharma world. TYTY
