Project status? Abandoned?

Has this project been abandoned? Seemed like such a great idea. I tried to build it for Python 3.11+ and got a lot of errors. I fixed the POT/PO build stuff and started trying to upgrade SQLAlchemy bits. It's a lot. The last commit was 5 years ago.

Gourmet itself is not really maintained, but you might want to have a look at the Gourmand fork which we recently started trying to revive again. The basic stuff and the few tests were tested successfully on up to Python 3.13, although there still tends to be a lot to modernize.
