OLauncher and Family Link

Trying to install OLauncher on my three kid's devices (Google pixel phones 6a, 7 & 7a) which are managed by Family Link. I have installed and it runs if you click on the app but I cannot change it to the default launcher. I get the attached error messages but cannot see where to change this within family link and a google search hasn't been able to help me. Really love this app and use it myself, would love to set it up for my kids. A parental lock for the app would be amazing to be able to lock it as the default launcher or hide certain settings without parental approval. Thank you.
