historical performance (2017-2024)

Historical results (2017-2024, based on current and past data in this repo):

• All tools have been improving (the hardware was kept the same throughout the period, EC2 r4 for CPU and p3 for GPU)
• On CPU XGBoost/LightGBM have been the fastest
• On GPU XGBoost has been the fastest

Updated the history graph to extend to 2025.

Replaced however the old V100 GPU (could not compile xgboost for it anymore) with a newer GPU (A10G) that showed very similar performance to V100 in 2024. A10G is a budget GPU, not a top performer, but for continuity of the historical results it is the most suitable. The dashed line below marks the change of GPU:
