Integrate the Batterie connected to the Soyo into Home Assisant Energy Dashboard

Hi,

I would like to integrate the Batterie information that is connected to the soyo into the Home Assistant Energy Dashboard (https://www.home-assistant.io/docs/energy/battery/)

As my batterie has no API, I think the best next thing is to do it via this project (if even possible).
But for this to work, I would need separate information on what is going into the batterie and what is coming out of it, but how will I be able to make the difference on input and output with only these? :

   battery_voltage:
      name: "${name} battery voltage"
    battery_current:
      name: "${name} battery current"
    battery_power:
      name: "${name} battery power"

These measuerements does provide an approximation of the consumed power by the inverter only. You don't the see charge current of your battery here. Could you describe your setup in detail? What kind of solar charge controller do you use? You are probably looking for a smart shunt.

Appart from the soyo 1200 48v I have nothing else yet planned. I am a bit of a newb in this field, so you think it will not work without a smart shunt ?

The mentioned battery pack should be able to provide the measurements you are looking for. It looks like some more research is required. :-) How do you want to charge your battery? The Soyosource does convert/invert battery (or!) solar power into grid power only.

But I am a bit confused about how your project and such a device will work in sync to charge the battery when surplus power is available and give it back to the Soyo when it is not the case.

It looks like you are mixing up a hybrid inverter (Solar + Battery + Grid) vs. battery inverter (Soyosource: Battery + Grid).
