The lisp keymap (SPC k) contains a lot of structural editing commands. Treesitter should allow something similar for other languages. There is combombulate to bring this to emacs. Are there any efforts to bring this to spacemacs?

Not yet but this could well be an optional dependency for tree sitter layer, feel free to open a PR.
