I am having the same issue. I see all my Amazon Echo Devices and one of my computers, but not the computer on which the vscode extension is running. Also, i try to connect to the local one by launching it, and it doesn't do anything. Sometimes, if spotify is running, it does connect to spotify, but doesn't list anything, nor will it let me connect to the local desktop player.

Here is what shows up on my spotify player, and should show in the musictime extension:

  • 2 Google home devices
  • 2 Amazon Echo devices
  • 1 Roku device
  • 2 computers running the desktop player
  • 1 Playstation Device

Here is what shows on the musictime extension:

  • 1 Roku Device
  • 2 Amazon Echo devices
  • 1 computer (the other one) running a desktop player

Here is what is missing:

  • The local desktop player
  • 2 Google Home Devices
  • 1 Playstation device

NOTE: This seems too hardware-specific to be a coincidence.
