An clean syntax for runes

Hi guys,

How about a cleaner and easiear to read runes like the syntax present in Django's template language.

For example, instead of:

{#if selected == color}
{:else}
{/if}

This one:

{% if selected == color %}
{% else %}
{% endif %}

or if prefer, you could keep a single $ instead of % yet:

{$ if selected == color }
{$ else }
{$ endif }

But would remove these extra : and / characters, and each block would terminate with a end preffix like endif, endfor, etc.

This has been discussed before, syntax is subjective (for example to me these alternative syntaxes are nowhere near cleaner and easier) and the vast majority of users like it this way, and having more than one syntax rises a lot of problems.

Man, use a /if to close a if is as weird as use fi to do the same thing in shell script.

3 special characters (#, :, /) reserved to a syntax that could be cleaner with endif.

I'm not advocating for 2 syntaxes, but make cleaner the current one.

Replacing the syntax would just cause unnecessary work and churn.

The syntax is similar to HTML and I think people generally like it that way.

<element>
</element>
{#if}
{/if}

Personally, I hate both fi and endif.
