Svelte 5 snippets violate "HTML, The Mother" Tenet

The Tenets document states

Svelte augments HTML in a way that makes it a really good language for describing interactive UI.

I totally support the idea of snippets, but the syntax. All the same functionality can be expressed in SGML-style syntax.
Here is an example (taken from Svelte 5 documentation preview):

All the same functionality, just the looks.
Because curly braces irritate the eye in html code.

Reusing an HTML concept because it seems adjacent to what we're doing isn't a good idea. We learned that previously with <slot>.

They are an important visual cue to make it obvious that snippets are not a plain template nodes but a distinct svelte language concept that is more than "just html".

Your suggestion would cause collisions between the snippet name and html tag namespace and make .svelte harder to read/follow.

But this collision already happens with components. Nobody does the following:

What I mean is that snippets are somewhat similar to components. We can even call them ad-hoc/immediate/static/no-code components.

They might appear similar at first glance but are quite different both in how you declare and use them or what they are. Most importantly snippets don't have their own script or style scope. So even the name "snippet" was carefully chosen to show that they are different.

We always try to make svelte the language and it's concepts expressive and easy to understand.

It is not a dogma to follow html like syntax as much as possible.
