I need to make sure there isn't any dynamic performance adjustments going on on my machine. AFAIK, I have on demand performance scaling turned off in BIOS but I'm not at all convinced that the test runs don't have a lot of noise in them from...something. I.e., the plateaus in performance are likely machine dependent not code dependent.
