Hey 👋🏽 my name is Xavi and I am a software engineer. I am the main developer and maintainer behind ControllerX, which is an AppDaemon app that allows you to create controller-based automations with ease to control devices with Home Assistant.

ControllerX is my first big open source project, and it all started because I wanted to fix a problem I was having. Then, I decided to share my work with others, so they do not have to go through the same problems I had. This is the philosophy behind open sourcing, what you create enables others to build on top. In the case of ControllerX, it would not make any sense if AppDaemon and Home Assistant did not exist.

This opened a new part of me that would like to keep transforming my knowledge in open source code, so others can leverage the work and develop further.

I opened GitHub Sponsors so people can have this form of contributing back, however, I do not have any goals or objectives to achieve with it.
