I have been writing JavaScript modules for 7 years. While a lot of them are old, I still maintain libraries that are useful to others:

The packages I authored or contributed to are downloaded 10M times per month, excluding uuid for which I barely contributed.

I also contribute to other languages and frameworks, either with code or documentation. Right now I am focused on https://github.com/zeit/next.js/ and will most probably author more and more modules for it.
