Hi, I'm duck., a 30-something software engineer from the UK. Over the years I've built plenty of stuff that's touched plenty of people; including in arcade rhythm games, LAN parties, and so many other places.

I've always done everything that I do whenever I'm physically able to - I'm unable to hold down a job due to long-term disabilities that often leave me flat on my back for weeks at a time without much warning, so my only income is the very limited disability benefit that the UK gives me (as I can't presently claim Universal Credit for technical medical reasons).

I will keep being me regardless of how much income I get for it - it's never been about the money, it's always been about the smiles I bring to people's faces, and the public good my work produces. However, capitalism and life circumstances are a thing, and I do need to be able to eat!
