Why PHP?

I’m a core PHP enthusiast who believes we’ve only scratched the surface of what PHP can achieve. While I use other languages and tools, PHP holds a special place in my heart. Here’s why:

My Journey 🚀

Over the past two years, I’ve dedicated myself to expanding what’s possible with PHP:

  • Started in Web3, exploring blockchain with PHP.
  • Pivoted to AI/ML, driven by curiosity and resource limitations.
  • Now maintaining multiple open-source packages exploring the edge of what PHP can do.

What I’m Building

  • TransformersPHP: A machine learning toolkit that shows PHP can stand in spaces dominated by Python and JS.
  • PHP MCP: A full ecosystem of packages implementing the Model Context Protocol (MCP) in PHP:
  • whisper.php: PHP bindings for whisper.cpp, enabling high-performance speech recognition.
  • chromadb-php: Framework-agnostic PHP client for the Chroma vector database.
  • jinja-php: A zero-dependency PHP implementation of the Jinja templating engine, built for ML chat templates.

These packages aren’t just experiments - they're used, tested, and evolving.
