I'm currently software developer and budding computer scientist with a BS and MS from University of Michigan - Flint. My ultimate goal is to get a PhD in computer science and do research at the intersection of IoT, edge computing and ML. :)
In the meantime, I'm going to hone coding skills while entertaining concrete job opportunities by writing contributing to the Clusterduck Protocol and hopefully publish a portion of my master's thesis. The money I get here is used to buy stuff like this, which we use not only for testing, but permanent deployments and my own research.
If you'd like to read the thesis for some reason, it's in University of Michigan's archive.

SelectEvery little bit will help when you're unemployed or underemployed. I'm no less greatful for this than I would be to someone who gave more. I'm here mainly because I want to be, and want to do something with purpose after being railroaded by my last job.

SelectThis, along with github's matching is almost enough to buy a drink at Starbucks. That would honestly be great to have once in a while, because the place has such friendly employees that are my age and it's kinda just nice to be there. I also go there just to get out into the world and not lose my sanity. Having a whatever-tea lemonade would be nice, too.
