Description

It looks like my project may be moving to Cloudinary rather than Imgix. Is support for Cloudinary on the roadmap?

Not on the roadmap ATM. I look into it waay back, and concluded that it wasn't a good fit with Imager/Craft at the time. At the time the remote fetch option was really flaky, and that the sensible route would be to have a Cloudinary Volume type (File System in Craft 4) that actually uploaded assets to Cloudinary, that worked in tandem with Imager. But cloudinary's flat library structure didn't lend itself well to Craft volumes, so I didn't pursue it.

Also, I found the pricing model to be very expensive compared to Imgix, but that has evened out somewhat after Imgix' changes recently.

Might be worth looking into again though, I'll leave this open and see if I get to circle back to it some day.

Maybe it is a possibility now that the craft-cloudinary filtype plugin is added?
