Hi, Not sure if this is operator error but the latest version of incredimail does not seem to create folders in the same way as older releases.

I just installed latest update from website and when I create a new folder there is no corresponding IMH / IMM file created under the message store folder.

I just ran an export on my message store (after also selecting the right Attachments folder) and all it exports are historical emails. Noting new in the Inbox is exported and, to test the theory out, I created a new folder called zzTest and moved some emails into it from within the app. There was no corresponding zzTest.imh or zzTest.imm files created and therefore no obvious way for me to identify the single folder for export.

Unfortunately I was doing this on a friends machine that I no longer have access to however I do still have is IM folder structure on my computer (but dont fancy installing incredimail unless I really have to for obvious reasons).

Has someting fundementally changed or have I missed someting. FYI I am no expert in incredimail. I was simply helping (trying to help) him migrate away from it to a proper mail program that has simple features like "export" built in (as I am sure may people who try your software try to do). I will happily hep with diagnostics as much as I can though.

Thanks
Paul

Hi Paul, you're right that the newer versions use MessageStore.db and iml files instead of imm / imh files. It sounds like it leaves the old files around however, and the converter finds the old database version first!

As a workaround I suggest you use the option to convert a single file and choose MessageStore.db -- this should create a folder called MessageStore with all your subfolders underneath. If that works as desired I'll amend the converter to deal with the situation where there are both imm files and a new style database present.

Thats great Chris. Works like a charm.
A big thanks to you for bothering to do this. Such a shame that IM seem to make it so difficult to get away from their software. Smacks of terrible greed and insecurity of their own product.

Now....... how do I import EML's into a PST for Outlook 2016..... Off to Google - he is my friend :-)
If I recall I need to import the EML structure into WLM and then use the auto WML import option in OL to import the lot.

Thanks again
Paul
