Yes the chips can be damaged almost instantly if run without a heatsink! |

Hello.
I have a question regarding the BM1366 ASIC. Is it possible that the chip gets quickly damaged if it is operated without proper cooling?
Because what I see is that if I power up my board without a heat sink (or with a simple one), I see that the current is increasing and is reaching the limit of my power supply.
And the communication with the ASIC seems not to be working. I don't get any response from the ASICs.
Should it be possible to measure the clock signal on the INV_CLKO pin? Because I don't see anything there as well. The only thing I see is that the NRSTO pin follows the NRSTI pin.
What I have to mention is that I don't use the original Bitaxe board. I designed my own board with 4 chips (basically it is between the Bitaxe and the Bitaxe Hex). So, the power supply for the chips is 2.4V. But it is not really equally distributed. I have 0.8V on the first 2 chips and 1.6V on the last 2. Can this be a sign that the chips are already damaged?
Thanks,
Andreas
