8 byte extranonce2

I noted in my bitaxe supras 400 and 401 for pools that have an 8 byte extra nonce2, instead of using the full eight bytes, the supras only pad an integer value with 4 bytes of zeros. Both are running 2.1.10 the latest. Would like to see them use the full eight bytes instead of just padding with zeros.
