Note, the issue might have been fixed in #963, at least for fp16 it now works. To test bf16, fp8, would require someone with a GPU that can run those to test. Unfortunately, mine doesn't and it's also not available on CI. I'll leave the issue open until it's confirmed it has been fixed.
