I looked at your project but I was a bit surprised that you don't use bindgen to generate the bindings, as seems to be the case for most *-sys crates.

Following the bindgen tutorial, I had everything working for krb5.h bindings, AFAICT (including passing bindgen self-tests) in less than half an hour.
