Make gps recording user friendly

Currently the user must navigate away from the form which is shown after logging in to the map page and then click onto a non-descript icon to initiate gps tracking. There should be a button for starting tracking on the form page, and/or a message should be shown in a dialog asking if tracking should be turned on.
