Why is this tool not compatible with Linux?

OpenScreen was developed on the worst operating systems (Windows and macOS) and is not ported to Linux at all. Why?

TL;DR: if you ask a question exactly like this - the only deserved answer in my opinion should sounds like "cause you and many your folks are a bunch of toxic assholes"

Maybe this is because not all people agree with your extreme position and don't want to share OS-nazi label with you? And while you will be left here alone, with dreams about your exclusivity, users of both Win and OSX will spend their time to make version for their own preferred system looks and works better. Get back to your question and ask yourself - would anyone wanna help you while you acting like this? Especially if Linux is a secondary system for a folk - why anyone should get a will to work for benefits of your arrogant group? Hope you find the answer for yourself, bet it will be the same in any further situation like this, at least before you finally grow up =)

You can be opinionated in general, but this is probably not the best way to put forth your thoughts, and I'll address them below:

• Most end-users aren't developers and tend to use Windows and macOS. Linux distributions are mostly used by devs (not saying people who aren't devs don't use it, but it is probably a very very small %). Let us not get into this superiority complex discussion revolving around OS.
• This tool was not designed for "devs". Anyone can use it, and that was the reason I wanted to go ahead with Electron for cross platform support.
• I develop on macOS and generally have some friends/ folks who use Openscreen who are willing to test out the app on Windows to make sure things are working as expected. I do not want to take the added responsibilities for having to support another OS by myself. It is already hard to ensure everything works as intended across different OS. Cross platform support gets harder as we want to add on more things due to issues that come with using Electron
• You are bound to have limitations in the future with certain features being possible in different OS (already have one with macOS- accessing audio).
• If you had looked around enough, you would see that we already have people-out of their good will-contribute and make a Linux installer of an older version. That is the neat part of open-source. You don't like something? Modify it. Contribute. I don't understand how people want things handed to them just cause.
• The source code is right there. We already have lot of folks forking it and making modifications to their liking. I just don't have the bandwidth for more at the moment.
• It is also pretty easy to just clone and run the app locally. Perhaps start there?
