Saif-ul Hussain

I have spent my career within the Civil Service, working within various departments including the Home Office, Ministry of Justice and HM Revenues and Custom.

I have attained numerous performace awards from various Government departments. Which includes a commendation for my contribution to the Home Office team responsible for the monitoring and maintenance of the Police National Computer.

I have always had a strong interest in coding and an interest in understanding the logic that drives applications and what makes them work. I have a very keen interest in understanding further into Artificial Intelligence, and the benefits that it can bring within society. The ability for an AI based application to identify a solution based on complex algorithms from vast datasets, is an interesting field to explore to build effective automation tools.

Upon successfully acquiring Scholarship opportunity with the renowned Makers Academy, I have completed an intensive Software Development course, to build my knowledge and technical expertise to become a capable, competent and effective Software Developer.

Skills

Consider skills relevent to software development. Then consider your best skills. Pick 2-4 skills and write a short descriptive paragraph for each one. You should demonstrate how capable you are at this skill with examples. (Using a STAR example Paragraph) Consider the questions below.

-STAR -What was the situation/task? (ST)

-How was the skill used?

-What did you do? (action)

-What was the result?

This Skill

  • Experience
  • Achievements
  • Evidence (STAR)

Another Skill

Descriptive paragraph of how capable you are at this skill and, if relevant, how it has developed (again use STAR for this)

  • I achieved A during my work at B (job, or otherwise)
  • I contributed to the growth of X while doing Y (job, or otherwise)
  • I built this, made this, broke this, fixed this, etc.
  • A link to some on-line evidence (blogs, videos, articles, etc.)

Achievements

  • Awarded three Home Office performance award within 18-month period, two award for contribution to HR Recruitment work as Campaigns Manager.
