Exposing some functions squidpy uses #3891

Hi,
I opened this issue in squidpy scverse/squidpy#1061 . In the code we use some functions that aren't in the public API. I think it is good to reuse the functions but if we are going to do this I think it makes sense for them to be exposed. What would you think about exposing all or some of these functions I mentioned in the PR?
