Support of an additional smart meter: The funder of this project EKZ seems to roll-out smart meters from the vendor meter & control. They should be supported.

Yes, please add the Meter&Control ST401, the EKZ has also installed it in my home. The Meter&Control offers the same interface as the Siemens TD3511 (IR IEC 62056-21)

The IEC 62056-21 integration is specific for the Siemens meter implementing mode C and polling specific data sets. The work was contributed by @hunzikch. I guess it won't be a straight-forward task to make the existing code compatible for the Meter&Control device. In the above spec sheet mode C and E are listed for the optical interface so you don't know which mode is actually configured by your provider.

As Swiss legislation stipulates that smart meter customers must be able to retrieve their data on site and the Meter&Control has the IR interface and also supports OBIS codes, I will try my luck with a Hichi IR read head and Tasmota, the community there has huge amounts of data and concentrated knowledge on the subject of SML/OBIS. According to customer support, reading is not possible with this SmartMeter. I understand that now, because your tool is designed for USB transmission, apart from the Siemens SmartMeter.
With the Hichi you can retrieve an SML dump and there are some decoding tools to decode the parameters.

If I find out anything, I can also provide the parameters.

100 other smart meters are already listed here, all working to the same standard.
