How kubectl proxy connected to aws?

Can't understand why kubectl proxy knows where why aws cluster is after terraform apply. Do you know it?

Well ... you download the kubeconfig file from AWS. And kubectl uses it. kubectl proxy just opens websocket or something to the cluster based on the configuration kubeconfig and uses that to proxy the connections.
