This is because your private key is used in the key exchange with the specified public key, and a passphrase is asked for because private keys are encrypted on disk.

Oh, I see. It's necessary to generate the ephemeral shared secret. To Kryptor doesn't implement just asymmetric crypto but hybrid crypto. Thanks a lot.
