It would be great for all those who have FLAC audio libraries

Sorry for the late response.
I agree it would be great. My music collection also gets increasingly more FLAC and M4A files. In my opinion MP3 is dead.

Anyway id3edit is "designed" with only mp3 in mind. The code base does not allow to easy support different file types that come with totally different formatted meta data.
If there will be a next generation of id3edit, other (modern) file and meta data formats will be considered.
