Please have more newbie-friendly intro in README

Don't jump to referencing ack. It's a bad assumption that everyone coming to this got here via ack or already knows what ack is. Describe this on its own for what it does and make the ack reference come later. It's a real turn-off for hose trying to make sense of things to go try to learn what ack is, when this is already just a great tool to use, that's that.

I'd like to do a PR, and don't mind being asked, but I just have to say "sorry" for now, I can't prioritize this and am especially overwhelmed right now (and I don't really understand ag/ack enough to describe it clearly besides "it searches really fast"). I hope someone else can do it sometime.
