How can I rotate the output of greetd

I am using a small notebook with a rather complicated display setup. I need to rotate the login screen by 90°. I was already altering the sway config this helps after the login but not on the login screen.

Is there a solution or does have anyone a hint?

Perhaps you're editing the wrong Sway config? You should edit the one that ReGreet uses, i.e. /etc/greetd/sway-config.
