At the time of writing, Scratch 3 had not received an update to Raspberry Pi 5. A new version is under development, and you can find more information in this issue. We will update this issue when more information is available.

According to raspberrypi/bookworm-feedback#91 it should work on the 32-bit version of the OS. Sure you're not using the 64-bit version? You should double check that you're using 4KB, not 16KB, page size.

Hi, we will update this issue (and a future printing of the book) when it is resolved, but this is not the authoritative issue for this problem.

You can subscribe to the issue to be notified of updates, but please also see @aallan's comment above regarding page size (however, if that solution does not work, please comment at raspberrypi/bookworm-feedback#91).

Scratch 3 with Raspberry Pi 5 (64-bit) works, although Raspberry Pi GPIO does not.
