To localize PwdHash Sidebar, copy one of the folders inside ./locales/, rename it to the ISO 639-1 code of your language and start translating the strings after "message":. The following languages are a priority

  • ar Arabic
  • zh Chinese (simplified)
  • nl Dutch β
  • en English
  • fr French
  • de German
  • el Greek
  • hi Hindi/Urdu
  • it Italian
  • ja Japanese
  • pl Polish
  • pt Portuguese (Brazilian)
  • ru Russian
  • es Spanish β

Localized readme files like README.de.md are also desirable but not that important.

Anything more I need to know before getting into nl and fr? Is this still up to date?

Possibly could get into ar, with some help, but I think that one will require code changes, just like Farsi would (which maybe should also be a prio?), because of RTL. ;)

There's nothing particular to consider. A tool like WET or Translate Web-Ext might be handy, even though I haven't used it myself.

Commited the current strings for German and English, beta versions of Dutch and Spanish and a placeholder of Arabic (ebaa224). Also I tested it a bit, RTL languages should not require any code changes except cosmetic ones in CSS (reversing the order of labels and inputs in widescreen mode).
