virtual scroll goes crazy with scroll-behavior:smooth

What happened?

The virtual scrolling goes haywire when you scroll a little or moderately. ( smoothly going back and forward )

What did you expect to happen?

That it functions like a user scroll instead of a joke.

How to reproduce?

a parent element of the DOM or virtual-scroll has scroll-behavior: smooth; css property

This doesn't happen with every scroll (try varying the scroll rate and amount to reproduce it).
It's less noticeable on CodePen than in my specific case.

I think the virtual scroll simply doesn't support it. Unfortunately, I haven't had time to delve into the code yet, so for now I'm just reporting the problem.

I've disabled smoothing, and the problem is gone.
