set costum javascript and css laravel theme

hey developer, i want users to be able to choose the theme they want, and i set different css and javascript folders in the theme/theme-names folder but the css and javascript that i put in those folders don't work, css and javascript work if i put them in public folder, but I want to have different css and javascript for each theme
