Using JSON properties in DB updates

Heya folks, I have the following model:

class Snipes(db.Model):
    __tablename__ = 'snipes'

    guild_id = db.Column(db.BigInteger, primary_key=True)
    data = db.Column(db.JSON, nullable=False)

    delete = db.ObjectProperty(prop_name='data')
    edit = db.ObjectProperty(prop_name='data')

Now ideally as this table gets updated a lot what I would like to do is the following:

snipes = await Snipes.get(...)
await snipes.update(delete={'content': ..., 'deleted_at': ...})

However upon doing something similar to this I receive the following error:

Directly updating JSON properties on JSON for Postgres is not supported - can data be JSONB?

Wow ok thats very annoying I suppose so yes, don't really have an option xD
