Version switcher is not loaded

I use this theme for my project's documentation: micm. Here are the docs.

For whatever reason switcher.json is never loaded by the browser. What is meant to trigger the get for switcher.json and why might this not be happening?

I started with a blank project and have been able to see the switcher work so I wonder if it's a conflict with another extension.

Yes, it seems that sphinx_tabs does not play well
