Colby Acuff is a Rocky Mountain-bred country singer known for his honest, relatable lyrics and authentic, neo-traditionalist sound. Born and raised in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, Acuff issued three independent albums, including 2021's acclaimed If I Were the Devil, before inking a deal with Sony Music Nashville and releasing 2023's outlaw country-leaning Western White Pines.A fourth-generation Idaho native, Colby Acuff spent his formative years hunting, fishing, and absorbing the sounds of Waylon, Willie, Flatt & Scruggs, and Bill Monroe. The self-taught multi-instrumentalist made his stage debut at 12 and started writing songs at 15, looking to genre outliers like Sturgill Simpson and Tyler Childers for inspiration. He studied economics at college, but office life held no allure, and before long, he was working as a fly-fishing guide by day and honing his songs in bars at night.
