How to run and verify multipath apis?

Can you explain this result, is the client also running in the background?

Can you guide me to run server and client by adding multipath ?

Could you also elaborate on the migration mode mentioned in this?

The option "-A" has no effect on the server, as the server never initiates paths.

You did not specify the use of multipath option:

  -M              Enable QUIC multipath extension

Hello,

I am trying to run the picoquicdemo client using the following command:

./picoquicdemo -D -q cclog -M -A ::0/0 test.privateoctopus.com 4433

This works when connecting to test.privateoctopus.com. However, instead of using this external server, I want to run the client with the quicserver provided within picoquicdemo. When attempting to connect to the locally running server, the server crashes.

I would appreciate any guidance on:

1. The correct command to start the quicserver and connect the client to it.
2. Potential reasons for the server crash and how to debug the issue.

I cannot reproduce your issue. I tried on a PC and on a MAC. On the MAC, I am building the code in a "build" directory. If I run your server command in that directory, I do get an error, but not the same error code:

Server exit, ret = 0xffffffff

That error appears because picoquic cannot find the default key and certificates. They are located in the certs directory in the distribution, that directory is not directly visible if the server runs in a different directory. The error can be fixed by using the option "-S " to provide the path to the picoquic sources. On my Mac, I used:

christianhuitema@Christians-iMac build % ./picoquicdemo -M -S ..
Starting Picoquic server (v1.1.32.0) on port 4443, server name = ::, just_once = 0, do_retry = 0
No token file present. Will create one as <demo_token_store.bin>.
Accept enable multipath: 1.
Waiting for packets. 

That worked. There is another issue somewhat related on the client side. You need to provide a name for the server. On my Mac, I used:

christianhuitema@Christians-iMac build % ./picoquicdemo -M -A 0::0 localhost 4443 /1000000

It worked fine.
