Feature Request: Show file modification time in Explorer

Feature Request:

In the Explorer, it will be helpful if there is modification time displayed as a column on the right-side of files.
There are currently no extensions in the marketplace that achieve this functionality.
It will be very helpful to see modification times of not only source files, but also output files, which are frequently generated in data science workflows.

RStudio has always displayed these details.

I have a filed a request in Code-OSS for upstream changes, but considering this has not been implemented in all these years, I wanted to request here since many users might be transitioning from RStudio to Positron and have not previously used/intend to use VS Code.

There are some extensions that provide this and related file info functionality, although they might be exactly the user experience you are looking for. One I have tried out is:

Thanks for reviewing, and yes, the above extension does not provide file info similar to RStudio.
